A towering figure in African journalism, Chief Adeniyi served as Chairman and Managing Director of Daily Times of Nigeria, once the continent’s largest newspaper. He began his career at the paper in 1973 and, by 1974, made history as Africa’s first-ever newspaper Ombudsman. His leadership and editorial integrity set a precedent for accountability in the press. Beyond Daily Times, he also acted as Editor-in-Chief of the Nigerian Tribune and contributed to major international newspapers, including The Atlanta Inquirer (USA), Lancashire Evening Post (UK), and The Toronto Star (Canada).
